Chrissy "Cheffy" Sanderson

Chef Chrissy  Sanderson graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Political Science in 1998.
She walked across the threshold of Bordinos restaurant and discovered a path to her future career. After working 2 years at Bordinos as a pastry chef, prep cook and bartender, she attended The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. 
She returned to Fayetteville and became the executive chef and co-owner of Bordinos for the next eight years, catapulting the intimate fine dining restaurant to a remarkable destination restaurant.
Starting in 2007, she began instructing a Culinary Arts courses at Northwest Arkansas Community College. In 2013-2014, she was a consulting chef an integral role in establishing the Walmart To Go Deli concept with Bentonville Butcher and Deli.
At Mockingbird Kitchen, Chef Chrissy offers personal recipes passed down from her mother and grandmother along with innovative dishes prepared with local and seasonal ingredients.

Leigh Helm

Leigh brings to Mockingbird Kitchen her five years experience in the back office at Bordinos. She handles the bookkeeping, payroll and accounts payable, making sure that the office runs smoothly. Her ability to multitask and wear different hats comes from her 13 years experience at JB Hunt Transport Services. 
Born in  Fayetteville Arkansas, Leigh moved with her family to four different states and four countries before graduating high school.  Leigh graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BA in Spanish in 1991.
Leigh enjoys reading, bird watching, hiking and swimming. She loves to swim in open water and has competed in several competitions across the area.
